Will you be Restaurant Het Grote Zand's new chief fryer?
Are you flexible? Do you enjoy working hard and understand the value of taking responsibility? Are you someone who enjoys being around people? If so, would you be interested in working at a cozy vacation park that hosts weekly rotating guests?
Then we are looking for you!
Our restaurant is located on Landgoed Het Grote Zand and is part of Succesparken, a cozy family business with 8 vacation parks in the Netherlands and Germany. We offer a range of accommodations including camping pitches, wellness chalets, family houses, and luxury villas for national and international guests.
Succesparken stands for hospitality in a friendly atmosphere. We are currently looking for several enthusiastic employees for our snack bar for our vacation park Landgoed Het Grote Zand in Hooghalen (Drenthe).
How about combining strength training with your summer job? You will handle kilos of fries every day, with them flying through your arms.
Are you ready to get to work when your friends are celebrating their birthdays or vacations?
Can you handle multiple miles from croquette to frikandel?
Will you enjoy your free time during the day and run the snack bar marathon at night?
This is what you will typically be occupied with throughout your workday:
- preparing your work corner, the snack side.
- preparing the mise en place of the snack bar. How many frikandells will you fry tonight?
- prepare, bake and pack orders. Hoppa, press the bell, on to the next receipt!
- make sure your workspace looks neat. What if the queen comes along ;)
- cooperate with the cooks, they also need fries at dinner.
- help washing the kitchen utensils.
- at the end of your shift, you make sure everything is ready again for the next day
- stock management i.c.w. the cooks
- together with your colleagues, tidy and clean up the kitchen
What are we looking for in a new colleague?
Having some prior experience in the snack bar kitchen can be helpful, but it's not mandatory. Do you know how to present the perfect frikandel special? No idea? No problem, we are only too happy to teach you the ropes!
You are mainly available during vacation periods and holidays, but we are also looking for colleagues for weekdays and weekends. Working hours will be from 3 p.m. or 4 p.m. until 8:30 p.m./9 p.m., depending on the expected crowds.
We prefer a colleague who flies through our kitchen with an energetic personality ;)
The pressure during dinner hours can be intense, so keeping calm and maintaining an overview with the help of the cooks is crucial.
Maintaining a neat and presentable appearance is important to us. Workwear is provided.
What is Restaurant Het Grote Zand?
You will be working in a small restaurant at the vacation park. The restaurant is located in the main building next to the reception. The main building also has a swimming pool and a kids club. The snack bar is a part of the restaurant, and orders can be placed either at the bar or over the phone. The restaurant is open from 10 a.m. or 11 a.m. We serve lunch from noon to 3 p.m., and dinner starts from 5 p.m. Guests are also welcome for a cup of coffee and cake or a refreshing drink on the terrace.
The terrace has 9 patio tables and a number of lounge sets. Inside the cozy traditional cafe, there are 40 seats that can be covered by air conditioning (yay!).
Your colleagues are of all ages, and there is an informal work atmosphere.
